my 5 month old daughter has got big red cheeks and on one side its slightly puffy shes not really grumpy and still feeding and sleeping fine at the monent she only wants me not anyone else is this the first sign on teethin?
Teething??
slobbering, crying, and chewing on everything she can get her hands on are other signs. The gums also get reddish.
Reply:I think it's safe to say that she is beginning to teeth. Good luck!
Reply:yes sounds like it count yourself lucky she aint grumpy hope it continues this way
Reply:Sounds like it. Try gently rubbing some Dentinox on her gums.
Reply:Teething causes a multitude of problems- red cheeks, crying, rash, diaper rash, fever, diarrhea....it can be a tricky time:) And when they are 2 and you've forgotten all about this, it happens again! 2 yr old molars:) Ouch:0
Reply:it sounds like its the start of teething to me i have three children and each one reacted differently to teething if her cheeks feel warm it probley is .but if your not sure you can phone your health visitor and check, trust your instincs
Reply:Sometimes the side she is teething can be reddish. They will drool alot and sometimes run a low grade fever. The worse it is the more grumpy and cranky they will be. Try giving teething rings...be careful on some of them..I used some and put them in the freezer and they busted on me. If she is chewing on things..I gave my daughter a damp wash cloth to chew on.
Reply:It could be teething, shes at that age. Our little girl started teething symptoms at 3 months but didn't get her first teeth until she was 7 months. She's 11 months with 6 teeth and it seems to be getting worse as she's getting older, the clingyness being the main problem.
Also i know everytime a new tooth is about to pop through because she gets a bad nappy rash a day or two before one breaks the surface, so look out for that, i was in a huge panic the first time as she'd never had a rash down there before lol
