My daughter is almost 7 months old. Yesterday, she was very fussy and anything I did to try and make her happy would NOT work. I gave her Motrin, thinking it was her teething. That obviously didn't work because she just cried and whined after that also. She ate like she normally does. Nothing else was "abnormal," just the constant crying ALL day. I finally got her to sleep, but she continued to get up every HOUR. Today she is still very whiny and doesn't want to play or do anything but cry. Is there anything else I can do besides the Motrin to try and comfort her? I have tried the teething rings, but she isn't to interested in them.
Teething...?
when my son did that I was also confused as to what it was. It turns out that he had an ear infection. Worth a trip to the doc to find out.
Reply:my little brother has recently started teething too, my parents have got him a teething gel dont know where to get it but its quite good, u just rub it on their gums, try search it on google or in a shop ask a assisstant hope thts helped x
Reply:Take her to the doctor it might be something else besise teething..
Reply:you can rub her gums. My son likes that when he is teething.
Reply:If she is teething, you can try a cooling teething ring. They go in the fridge for a few hours and then your baby can suck on it.. They are supposed to be very soothing.. There is also "Baby Orajel Oral Pain Reliever for Teething" which works wonders!
Good Luck!
Reply:There is a natural herbal teething powder you can buy, I think you get it from Holland and Barrat, maybe even boots. My mate used to use it with her son. She believed it was better for him, because it was made of all natural ingredients, no sugars etc.
I suppose all you can do is make sure she does not have a high temperature and help her through it as much as possible. She is probably cutting one or more of her back teeth, they are usually the worst.
Reply:it sounds like teething but does she have a fever or anything? maybe she could be feeling a little ill or something else.
i hate to say it but my son was going through his diaper bag (with me around watching) when he was about 6.5/7months and he found a soother. he'd never taken one before but he just popped it in his mouth and now he deals with teething a lot better. he really only uses it when we're in the car and when he's going down for a nap. maybe you could try that?
Reply:Has she used the restroom? if it is teething I used to put vanilla abstract on my boys gums. I also used to put crown on the also so that is up to you I dip my finger in the bottle the rub it on there gums it was a very tiny tiny tiny amount
Reply:Ginger nut biscuits are very very good for teething babies, the ginger numbs the gums, and this is a natural aid that won't harm you baby in any way too, I used to swear by it...
