Teething ?
My girl (5.5 months) has been battling teeth since about 3 months. She will go from having a great week, to a week that is horrible. The worst week was when I could feel a lump on her bottom gum and see the white, but the tooth had not come through. The following week 2 teeth popped at once and she had some relief.

I have learned on here by asking questions about teething that all babies will handle differently. Mine was not handling it well...and was sleep deprived...up all the time at night. I rotated tylenol and motrin...(she HATES orajel and will scream about it) and used hylands teething tablets...I highly reccomend them. Use cold teethers, and I used a frozen carrot which she loved!

I gets worse at night because I think she was more focused on it. Here is a link from a question I asked...I followed jatay's advice and it worked....hope it helps...

Reply:let him suck on cold things. Wet a corner of a wash cloth, let it freeze in the freezer and let your baby chew on it. The dry part of the cloth will keep little hand from getting cold.
Reply:I gave my daughter a cool wash cloth the chew on. Also taking a finger toothbrush to the gums. Orajel seemed to work sometime but when it got really bad and she was in alot of pain I gave her Tylenol. Good Luck.
Reply:I found that if I wet a washcloth and put it in the freezer, my daughter would like to chew on that while it thaws. It was cold and she could bite down on it.
Reply:Crazy as this sounds...it helped with mine. We would put a wet wash cloth in a baggie and freeze it. The cold helped soothe and the chewing helped bring the teeth in quicker. Orajel never helped us, we used tylenol and motrin. Usually takes about 2 weeks to get them through enough that it stops hurting, but beware...once they start, its sometimes like one after another. Good luck!
Reply:Tylenol works to get rid of the pain. It lasts longer than orajel. What I did for my oldest was I put on the orajel and then gave him tylenol that way by the time the orajel had stopped working the tylenol was working.
