4month old teething?

she is great during the day, very happy baby. I was kinda thinking teething also, but wasn't quite sure. I have tried those teething tablets, but haven't decided if they work well or not, and I'd hate to give her tyleonl only becuase she does not have a fever. (am i responding in the correct place? this is the first time I am doing this)

Hyland's teething tablets ( if those are the ones you are talking about ) Work from the inside out. They cure the Symptoms of teething, such as restlessnes, fussiness etc. They do not numb the gums or offer any relief straight to the tooth.. Orajel does help but for only 15 min's or so, b/c of baby's saliva washing it right off. Its only suggested to be offered no more than 4 times a day b/c the saliva carries it to the back of the throat, numbing it and becoming a chocking hazzard b/c baby can't feel it. BEST thing for a teething baby is something cool to chew on, it will bring the swelling down and help the tooth finally break through ( think about when you have a swollen ankle ) .. Infant's tylenol is used as a pain reliever and not just a fever reducer. It's perfectly safe to use after getting the right dosage from your doc. ( or if you remember the dosage at the 4 month shots )

My son just got his 1st tooth at 5 months, and his second 10 days later.. He was a very cranky baby!
Reply:Tylenol isnt just for fevers, its for pain relief as well.
Reply:teething at this age is normal. I used orajel to numb the gums..my kids took it fine so I didn't try other options
Reply:Tylenol was the only thing that worked for my son, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. I was really against any unnecessary medicine but after a while you need your sleep.
Reply:I can honestly say Ibuprofen is probably the best way to relieve teething pain. It can be used with baby orajel. Baby Orajel has a nighttime version that is very good. If you use these two things teething won't be a problem. Good Luck!
Reply:If teething tablets aren't working, buy frozen waffles, and let her suck on that awhile...it's got a better flavor, and if she doesn't have teeth yet, she can't bite off a chunk. and just think...when you are in pain, you take tylenol, right? That's what it's for, it just reduces fever as well...and, a lot of times, my kids ran fevers while teething...i think it's just part of the process. My kids hated the taste of orajel, so I never used it unless I couldn't sleep at night because of the baby crying
