Baby teething, need some suggestions?

My daughter is teething and lately I have noticed that its been really bothering her I have tried baby orajel and I give her some baby Tylenol when it gets really bad. Does anyone have any suggestions for easing a baby's pain during teething.

Baby teething, need some suggestions?
Try not to use medications/gels if at all possible.

The best thing you can do is to put pressure on the area where the tooth/teeth are coming in. Putting pressure on those areas relieves the pain like you wouldn't believe.

Let your daughter chew on your fingers or another safe object so she can put pressure on that area. Also another good idea would be to soak a washcloth in water and set it in a bowl in the refrigerator for about a half hour and get it nice and cold for her to chew on.

Teething rings are good as well but only if refrigerated. If they are frozen, they can bruise her gums and even cause frostbite.
Reply:hyland's teething tablets (you can buy them at walmart, most grocery stores, etc), if shes old enough and its really bad, try motrin but use it sparingly (not around the clock) b/c its rough on the stomach.
Reply:My daughter is teething right now as well, I would recommend Teething Tablets. They work great! They get rid of the pain, and also help them fall asleep, and the best part is that its not harmful to them in any way. You give them 4 or 5 of them, and they dissolve instantly. You can buy them at Walmart!
Reply:teethers.... cold teethers.... i put my daughters in the freezer so they are really cold and she loves it..... helps ease the pain a little bit .. i tried those hylands tablets (and the correct dose) they made her so sleepy and groggy it was scary!

by the way i dont get them frozen just colder than the refrig gets them still soft to the bite though!!
Reply:a frozen waffle will help too,
Reply:This may sound crazy, but I swear by Popsicles! Wrap a washcloth on the bottom of the Popsicle to keep her hand from getting cold, and let her chew on it. The pressure will help ease the pain, and the coldness will numb her gums. Another trick that's not so conventional, jerky, not the sticks of jerky, but the real kind that tears, It's something they can chew on that they won't choke on, and it tastes good. It really does help!
Reply:What worked for us is giving our son soft rubber nuby spoons to chew on. You can put them in the freezer to let them get really cold. He never liked the teething rings. You can also hold an icecube in her mouth and let her suck on it or freeze clean washcloths and let her chew on them.

As far as tylenol is concerned, we switched to baby motrin. It seemed to last a lot longer.

Good Luck!!!
Reply:My little boy is now 17 months old and has all of his teeth but the very very back ones. I never gave him any orajel because that makes the gums hard and harder for the teeth to come threw!! I gave him teething rings and let him chew on my finger. That's really about it. I didn't give him much medication.(because he wasn't very fussy)

OLD wives tell: put a egg in his room. let it dry out and then put another one when it does dry up and it is suppose to help. how I really don't know!! Some one told me about it.
Reply:The only thing that is working for my son is a pacifier. I have tried just about everything except the Motrin.
