This sounds silly, but it worked for my son and grandson. During the day while you are watching him, wet a wash cloth in cold water and let him chew on it. Keep re-wetting it when it gets warm. It's soft and he can chew as hard as he wants without hurting his gums and the coldness helps ease the pain. Do this before bedtime also. Just watch him and don't let him get choked on it. It also helps the teeth come on through.
Reply:baby pain relever always works those teehing tablets didn't work for my niece either
Reply:Rotate between Tylenol %26amp; Motrin! That helped my baby.
Reply:hi

did you try the vibrating teether??? that is my 9 month's old best friend..you can get it at babies r us for about $8...a life saver!
Reply:What works for my niece is something called Humphrey's.I think they sell them at K-mart or Walgreen's.You can also try freezing fresh fruit so your baby can suck on. Good Luck
Reply:Hylands Teething Tabs and some frozen fruits (grapes, banana, apple) in a Baby Safe Feeder!
Reply:rub liquid myrrh on the gums
Reply:When my kids were teething, I would give them a cold wet washcloth. Worked better than any of the teething rings. They also like to "chew" on an old leather keychain. It was, of course big enough that there was not a possibility of them choking on it.
Reply:I also used the wet washcloth for my kids. It does help. I let them chew on pickles also, they are cold and bumpy and give when you gnaw on them, just keep a close eye on them in case they get a piece off. I have used dill and sweet, they loved them both.

(Have someone take the little one for a bit to give yourself a breather, it is so difficult to deal with a crabby baby if you do not get some help. Don't get me wrong, it is do-able, but why go nuts if you can get a little help? Other mothers know what you are going thru, and understand that a few moments of quiet time for mommy make baby happier too!)

Hope those teeth come thru soon.
Reply:i bought this teething toy at wallmart it looks like a star plus its a rattle when the baby bites on it it vibrates and feels good on their gums, my daughter loves it!
Reply:You can try putting a frozen peach slice, or frozen grapes, or another frozen fruit in one of those mesh eaters. Just make sure it's a food item that has already been introduced and you know that baby isn't' allergic. Baby will be able to gum to frozen fruit and the coldness and counter pressure will make him feel better.

Here's a link so you know what I'm talking about. But you can find them cheaper at target.

Reply:My son started teething last summer and I had a friend give me this pacifier looking thing. I saw them at Target so I picked them up, to read the package, and a woman at the store said that they were great when her kids were teething. She said that she would put frozen fruits in it for them. I bought that pack and then stopped at the store to get some fresh fruit to freeze for him. Wow, what a difference, he was happy and seemed to really like them. Now at 13 months he sees those things and gets so excited. They look like a pacifier but with a mesh bag on the end instead of a nipple. The only thing is DON'T give them watermelon, it seems to give the little tummies gas, my son cried harder after having that then when he gets shots.
Reply:My 11 month old is teething, we just use the nighttime Orajel for his gums, then give him a bottle and goes right to sleep.
