Help with teething daughter?

Why are babies so awful when they are teething? Mom's and Dad's some insight on easing teething woe's would be greatly appreciated.

Help with teething daughter?
Give your daughter a popsicle to chew on if she is old enough to hold it. That works wonders. Also a wet washcloth put in the freezer works good. Walmart has teething tablets. I was told about those by my oldest daughters pediatrician. They works EXCELLENT!! Ask the pharmacist and he will show you where they are. They are little tiny white pills that dissolve instantly when put in baby's mouth. Good luck!
Reply:I find that cold but not frozen teething toys are helpful, as well as baby orajel on the gums.
Reply:babies are not awfull, they are in pain for crying out load, does it hurt you when your wisdom teeth are growing?you know whats happening babies cant understand. i dont know if you can get it there but my baby loves this product tee gel its fantastic, she loves chewing her bath toys too, also if its realy bad calpol helps ita a baby medicine, there are teething ring you can get to put in the fridg or freezer that also helps
Reply:frozen popsicles , frozen banana slices , try frezzin a wash cloth and let her naw on that but normally the frozen fruit helps alot they get a treat well there get relive from teethin pain . there are also teething gels like orajel and there are teething pills that work great
Reply:Do you have a baby to teth?
Reply:Teething is very painful for a child. Do you remember having a tooth ache when you were little? Wasn't it the most horrible thing?

Buy your daughter teether toys. There are a lot to choose from. Buy some that you can put in the freezer. The cold will alleviate some of your daughter's pain. I'm sure you know by now that nights are awful. Just hang in there, it'll pass. If it's bad for you, it's worse for your baby. If your baby is exhausted and haven't had much sleep, try tylenol (get dosage from your doctor). I wouldn't recommend use of it all the time. It's just for a night or two if your daughter haven't had a good night sleep. I did this for my son and it worked out.
Reply:My daughter got her first two teeth the week after she turned 4 months, so all the different food ideas etc. wouldnt work for me. On top of that she seems to prefer throwing her teething toys that we got rather than chew on them. One that she does like is the Combi teether- a set of three for different ages/stages. Also gripe water seems to really calm her down- we like the Baby's Bliss brand. And when none of that works she always likes to chew on our fingers as much as it may hurt us- it helps her. Good luck. Hopefully more things will work for you then me.

Oh and baby orajel doesnt seem to help her at all either?
Reply:they r not awful they in pain. but i would use a cold wash cloth or a teething toy to help your baby out
Reply:a peice of ice wraped in a wash rag does wonders, if you are old fashin.. and up for some southern advice.. jack danials just enough to rub on the gums like oragel really helps (and a shot or two for you to deal with the screaming from teething)
Reply:if you make some waffles %26amp; freeze them, just give them to your baby anytime she's cranky, it would be good for them %26amp; the coldness numbs the pain a bit.
Reply:My son was 2 months, when he was teething we try the teething rings some time they work so we try baby orajel that work GREAT they have for day %26amp; nigth. Some one told us to try teething pills I didn't I like the gel better cause it works faster. My son is now 17 months, is still teething a little bit but not in pain he at least 12 teeth %26amp; more comeing in. My son got is frist 2 teeth on the botton at 3 1/2 months old
