7 month teething?

Hi

I posted a question about my daughter teething and i just had another couple of questions:

What is Tylenol ( im from UK)

Also, my daughter was up nearly every hour at night!

I realise teething can bring on things such as earache so i gave her some baby Nurofen (i think this may be the British version of Tylenol) and she slept through the night peacefully.

Someone told me i shouldnt give her it unless she has a temp. Her temp was fine but something was hurting her and the medicine certainly seemed to help her.

Should i continue to give her Baby Nurofen at night (i dont give her it during the day as it doesnt seem to be hurting as much and i take her mind off it by playing with her, taking her out a walk etc)

I ask because she was very grumpy during the day as she has always been a baby who loves her sleep at night!

Thanks

7 month teething?
I'm from uk and i used to give my daughter calpol at night to help her sleep with her teeth. seemed to work fine. babies can get a temp from teething but not always and calpol is designed for teething not just temps, same as baby nurofen. My daughter is now 2 and still teething! I give her calpol night now occasionally as it has a mild sedative in and helps her sleep when her teeth hurt. its suitable from 3 months and even says on box - to help relieve teething pain and aid a restful nights sleep.
Reply:Try going to your local pharmacy and talk to the pharmacist... they will be able to help you with products and dosage.
Reply:well i would give her a pain reliever and fever reducer and try some teeth numbing stuff or you can take a washrag and get it wet and stick it in the freezer for a few hours and let her gnawl on it and that will help with pain, the medicine wont hurt her as long as you follow dosing instructions!
Reply:i don't know if it is the equivilant of Tylenol, but Tylenol is a psin relieve/fever reducer that contains Acetametaphin (spelling is incorrect, but close) it is the only thing safeto use in the states for infants/small children. as long as the medicine advises that it is safe to give it to her on a hightly basis, i think it is ok to keep giving it to her until your doctor's appointment. plus, teething can cause a low-grade fever, sometimes.
