My baby teething?
sounds like teething to me, try baby oregel(did spell that right lol) or teething tablets. if u can ease her pain she might take the teething ring which will help cut the teeth faster.
Reply:Yes it's teething. You can give the cool but not frozen teethers, baby orajel the over night formula works best, and also try a clean wet washcloth to chew on. Talk to your doctor about pain management.
Reply:"breastfeeding is a great way to help soothe the baby. The sucking seems to massage the gums while calming the baby. Another trick to try is a frozen washcloth. Just soak a washcloth with drinking water and place in the freezer. Babies love it as it is cold and moulds itself around their gums. I haven’t mentioned teething rings yet because I have found them to only be effective for short periods of time. It is cheaper and perhaps more effective to clean some of the baby’s plastic toys so that he/she can gnaw on it. Select toys with no sharp edges and no parts that can be pulled off. "

" You can help soothe teething pain in a number of ways:
* Biting hard objects, such as teething rings, can provide some comfort to the child during the teething process.
* Cold. A frozen banana or popsicle may also soothe the gums during teething.
* Numbing. Teething gels like Baby Orajel or Baby Ambesol, can be applied. Some of these gels contain sugar so they should be used judiciously.
* Baby ibuprofen. This analgesic can be given to your baby during a particularly difficult episode."

Reply:give her a cold, whole pickle to gum on; she sure could be teething. I had a doc tell me that the most pain is before the teeth actually cut and that it can take a while before they actually do cut through so be patient. Other ideas for teether relief; peeled, washed, whole large carrots w/ thin end broken off so it doesn't break off in babys mouth; your clean fingers, if it is really bad tylenol or baby orajel
Reply:Yep. It sounds like she's teething sure enough. Even though she's teething, don't be surprised if you don't see the teeth break through for awhile. It can take awhile.
When my daughters were teething, there were a few things that really seemed to help them. Some of these might help with your daughter:
1. Freeze one of her pacifiers (if she uses them).
2. Freeze some string cheese or a banana. If she's not taking the teething ring, she might like these. They're cold, they taste good, and they're the right shape.
3. Use your finger to gently rub her gums.
4. If she'll let you rub her gums, try it with a little baby oragel on your finger.
Good luck!
Reply:my son is the same age and just cut his first tooth!
he really liked sucking on a warm, damp (clean!) rag and i got some soothing chamomile drops (no tyelnol or anything like that.... all natural) that really seemed to soothe him.
my son didn't run a fever, but he was (and still is- i think he's trying to get another one already!) drooling buckets, let me tell you!
are the teething rings you are trying to give your daughter chilled? if they are, try to introduce them to her again after getting them back to room temperature. my son didn't like teething rings that were chilled at all and he wanted one that he could hold onto himself, so maybe finding something smaller would help.
anyway, good luck!!! the minute that tooth breaks the skin, though, she'll be back to her old self!!!

Reply:she is most likely teething, my advice is teething tabs, they're homeopathic. also, boil some old keys and put them in the fridge, it helps cut the gums a little and make it easier for the teeth to come in. i've raised 2 kids and am starting on my grandson. it's worked like a charm. you should also give her tylenol if she gets too fussy because it does hurt.
