How long does puppy teething ususally last?
Our puppy is almost six months old ( he will be six months old in about a week) and it looks as though he is done with teething. Although there is one tooth that I think still needs to fall out. It also looks as though a new tooth has started to come in right next to the old one. Is that normal?
Puppy teething?
Teething in puppies begins at about four to five months of age and lasts about TWO MONTHS. The first teeth to be replaced are the incisors, then the canines, and premolars. The last molar in the jaw comes in at six to seven months.
Some breeds, (mostly toy breeds) are prone to retaining baby teeth. This can cause a bad bite. If a baby tooth is present when the adult tooth has erupted, it should be removed.
Reply:Yes, it might even push the old one out. Teething doesn't last long at all. Not even a few weeks.
Reply:Don't worry about it. Puppys aren't like people. His teeth will fix themselves, and they might be a little crooked or something but it's not a big deal. If you are concerned, go to your local vet's office and ask your Vet to look at his teeth.
Reply:ok freeze a bone like put it in a baggy then after it freezes take it out and give it to him and then it will help the tooth and mayb push it out
