7week old teething?

he started teething last week, u can see the teeth coming in on the bottom, i got him a teether but its too big for him sine he is so young. has anyone had this problem or do they know if he is too little to give him the baby teething gel?

he's pretty young. I know you want to give some relief, but the baby orajel is for 4 months and up, and the teething ring is for babies who have more developed motor skills. You may have to gently rub his gums with a cold rag.
Reply:At that age the likelyhood that any teether will be chewed on is low...try a soothie brand suckie/binky...





You can use the oragel stuff, it should be fine. And you can give him the recommended amount of tylenol too.
Reply:i don't think he's too little for a TINY amount of gel. but instead i would suggest wetting a washcloth with some purified water and freezing it in a sandwich bag... take it out, and then you have a teether, any size you need (fold it before freezing).
Reply:Every child is different and you can't control when they start teething. I am sure there is something out there you can buy for early teethers. As far as the teething gel goes, I would ask a doctor or use very little. That gel is very strong. Good luck! Congratulations on your new little one!!!
