Besides teething, what could be the cause that 6.5 Mo. baby loss her appetite?

I mean she still looks happy, keeping on smiling, laughing and playing well. No fever, rash, constipation. Yesterday, she just took only half of her normal feed. This morning was not bad, but still she couldn't finish the bottle. I think that she might be teething however, wondering if there might be other cause?

Another question is how long approx. does each teething last? Thank you.

Thanks for all answers.

my daughter is 2 months old %26amp; her eating habits diminished the beginning of the week. christmas day she ate less than 5 ozs all day. i took her to the dr %26amp; she had an ear infection. when she sucked on her bottle it hurt her ear. she didn't have a fever at all. the dr gave her antibiotics %26amp; ear drops to numb her ears...she's eating fine now. maybe it's just from teething but it wouldn't hurt to take her to the dr %26amp; have them check her out. good luck!
Reply:1-also i remeber when my little sister was little her appitite was a wave she'd eat like a pig one week and the nxt week eat 2 light meals each day. its just a thing that every little one goes through.

2-well i didnt get my first tooth til i was 11.5 monthes old so i would say depending on when they started somewhere between 1.5-2 years old
Reply:Hi

my daughter has just turned 7 months and became like this when we introduced solids at 6 months.

Is she on solids?

My health visitor assured me its normal for them to reduce milk slightly and advised me to cut out one bottle. This worked wonders and ill give u a rough idea of her feeding schedule

7am milk feed 7 ounces

9am breakfast of ready brek made with 2 ounces milk

and then she drinks 2 ounces

1pm lunch and yoghurt and a drink of cooled bolied water

no milk!

4.30 savoury meal then fruit as pudding and 5 ounces milk

8pm last night feed of 8 ounces of milk

(when i say milk i mean formula)

It may be teething and my daughter has had teething symptoms since she was 6 and a half months and they are just cutting through now so roughly 2 weeks.

Hope this helpsx
