Help! Baby Teething!?

My sister has a 2 month old baby and all the signs point to teething already... small rash on cheek... whole fist in mouth... constant drooling... not crying but definately irritated whine of discomfort all day long... eating pattern disrrupted also spits out nipple before feeding time is complete...

Looking for ideas/remedies for this baby girls pain whom cannot hold a teething ring or anything yet for that matter by herself. I suggested a dampened washcloth thrown in the freezer and told my sister to gently rub her gums with it....

Anbesal for numbing? Motrin for pain?

Any other suggestions out there mommies???

Thanks sooo much!

Help! Baby Teething!?
Hylands makes teething tablets. They are all natural and dissolve right under the baby's tongue. It has several herbs that help calm the baby. You can find tham at Wal-mart, CVS, etc...
Reply:My son was teething at 3 months old and I LOVE the teething tablets. I think they are called HYLAND'S teething tablets. Make sure that they disolve in your hand with water in seconds. If they do then they are the right ones. They cost a little more but it is worth it cuzz that young they can't chew on them they need to just disolve EASY!

Hope this helps
Reply:at 2 months she can get calpol, infant paracetamol, for teething although there are two varieties one from 6 months plus too, so but the right one. dentinox teething gel is suitable from birth also, so use that, put it in the fridge to keep it cool for that extra bit of help when applied
Reply:The teething tablets worked great for my daughter. but unfortunately did nothing for my son when he went through it. I would definitely say give some Tylenol to try and help , and the washcloth is a good idea as well. You can try the tablets, they may work on her and give the poor thing some relief
Reply:My baby is also teething and is only 2.5months old. To relieve her pain i use paracetamol for babies. I tried the washcloth for her as well but she didn't like it and of course the teething rings were too big for her. Instead i put a teat in the fridge to cool it then use that to run it along her gums and to let her chomp on it.

Good luck to you're sister and her poor little bub.
Reply:We dissolved Humphrey's pellets in her bottle, or put them in her mouth. There is also a homeopathic liquid that you can get at Target or any supermarket that goes under the tongue. They make baby orajel, but maybe she's too young for it.
