My babys teething?

Ever since she started teething she wakes up every hour through out the night. She use to sleep through the night before her teething. What can i do to get her to sleep at night? How long will this be going on for?

My babys teething?
Baby Orajel works wonders! Even baby tylenol
Reply:yes, baby oragel or tylenol. Also try a teether (not the liquid filled ones) i used to give my daughter a wet cloth to chew on. she loved that!

how long it will last depends on each child.

my son isn't waking at night, but he does have a few rashes, doctor says it's normal.
Reply:Teething is different for each child. Ask your doctor in the morning if it's okay to give the baby a bit of Tylenol. Never do this without asking a doctor first as it's based on age, weight and overall health!

Secondly, try putting a damp washcloth in the fridge for a bit to cool and let the baby chew on it. Mine have not had a lot of pain with teething. We only had maybe one to 2 nights when the molars were coming in that it was really bad. We let them chew on washclothes, teethers, my son chewed on my knuckle for awhile before the front teeth came in.

It should only be a few nights, keep the same bedtime ritual, but be ready to get up with baby if he's really unhappy, they really just want to be held when they are hurting.
Reply:The worst times will be the couple of day periods when the teeth are actually cutting through the gums. There are several things you can try. Tylenol or Motrin work well to calm the swelling/fever. Orajel can work to numb the gums. If your baby will use it, a teether helps. My sister had to go so far as to dab whiskey on my nephew's gums because nothing else would work. That numbed his gums as well as put him to sleep. Although I don't much care for using alcohol with a child, it did work wonders. I hope all of this helps you some.
Reply:Just like everyone else said... with my three children, I used orajel and baby tylenol. Sometimes you can use a very little bit of baby benadryl to help them sleep. But there will be times when nothing at all helps them, you will just have to suffer. lol. I found that it calmed them when I bent a finger and rubbed their gums with my knuckle. They would stop crying.
Reply:Baby oragel has a nighttime formula that I used when my daughter first started teething, it helped some but she still woke up a little more often than she used to. It only lasted a few weeks and then she was back to her normal routine. It got thrown off when her next tooth came in but not as bad.
Reply:It seems like just when you got the child to finally start sleeping through the night there comes something else to wake them up, their teeth. What I tell parents is to give the baby some Tylenol if they seem like they are in pain, this will help calm and soothe your baby, you can also try some baby oragel, but put a very small amount on and make sure to only put in on the babies gums.
Reply:Infant Tylenol works good. It also makes them sleepy, which is good for the baby and the parent. It can go on for quite awhile. It depends on how fast the teeth come in. Teething rings also help.
