I need help with teething son?

My son is starting to drool and his gums are bothering him cause he is starting teething. What is the best thing I can give him to help him with his pain. He does not like teething rings and the teething tablets don't seem to work what else can I try. I always have to wash my hands so he can chew and suck on my fingers.

I need help with teething son?
I used to give my kids a toy that they sell at walmart. It's a beanie baby sized stuffed animal which has plastic bumpy hands and feet. They loved them, and could chew on both the soft and the bumpy. A tie from a bathrobe also worked for us in a pinch.
Reply:As long as he isn't overly fussy then just keep doing what you are doing. Also a damp cold cloth works wonders! If he seems to be in obvious pain, you can give tylenol, and orajel worked best for me. I only had to give tylenol when my son cut his top two teeth.
Reply:U should put some oragel on his gums and try putting the teething ring in the fridge the cold should feel good to his gums that should make him happy.
Reply:There is really not much you can do. My son just got in his 2 bottom teeth and his top are starting to come in. If he feels extra fussy I give him some infants tylenol. I never give him baby origel. He hates the taste and it really isnt good for them. I let him gum on my finger and give him extra cuddles through out the day.
Reply:Hi! Depending on his age check with your doctor and see if Tylenol every 4 hours is ok to give. I did this with my son and it worked very well for us-our doctor was the one who suggested it. Also, try just giving him a teething ring that is not chilled-I know my son would not chew on a cold one but he chewed on them unchilled and loved it! Or if the cold is not the problem try a washcloth (wet it first:) frozen or just a cool washcloth-wring it out and give it to him. Another thing is a pacifier, although my son does not use one he will play with it and chew on it and that acts as a teething ring! Hope this helps!

Reply:Sugar free popsicles!!! When my son is really upset with his teeth, I let him have about 1/4 of a popsicle. He loves it and it makes his gums feel better.
Reply:A wet washcloth works great! My son loved them. Also, they have these mesh things that you can put apple slices in. I would put those, and frozen waffle bits. My son didn't like the teething rings either. I mean come on, have you put one of those in your mouth. Not very tasty. Fingers are their favorite though.
Reply:I have given both of my children my daughter who is three and my son is nine months and i asked their doctor and i gave both of them abesol to them when they were teething and Tylenol, i also tried the teething tablets and they seemed to work only after the tooth had first broken the surface and also baby orajel is good to use but sometimes it is not strong enough and they still cry so i talked to the doctor and use abesol. Hope this helps and good luck.
Reply:When my daughter was teething, we mostly used orajel. At first she balked at the taste, but after a minute (or less) she would realise that the pain was gone, so it didn't take long before she would actually point to her gums and sign for it when she was teething!

My friend said a damp wash cloth helped a lot, too,but we never tried it ourselves. Good luckwith it! And just know that this, too, shall pass!
Reply:when my daughter started to teeth I went to the store and bought a teething ring and some baby orajel.....
Reply:you can hang a egg up in front of his room
