My babys 4 months and starting teething, i cant see any yet but she has all the tell tell signs, i have calpol and also bonjela for her, but please how long will this crying go on for? i feel helpless anything else i can do, from a mother to a mother!
Teething trouble?
damp washcloth to chew on....from fridge/freezer
I used the holistic teething pills for my kids and orajel. tylenol is the only pain reliever you can use right now....but after 6 months, motrin is best!
Reply:this is just something she has to go through I'm afraid. It will probably be on and off for 3 or 4 months, but you'll both get through it- it does stop eventually.
Good luck, don't get down
Reply:Best thing i ever used.......cut a bagel in half and put it in the freezer.
the cold soothes.....the biting helps ease the soreness and they actually get a little bit out of the bagel.
Reply:try some baby orajel
Reply:There are products out now that are little mesh bags with a handle like a frozen pop. (I know you can get them at www.target.com) In this mesh bag you can place frozen fruits or veggies. This has helped several of my families children with teething. They love the "special" snack and the cold helps numb their pain.
Good luck!
Reply:My son had all of the tell tale signs of teething from 3 or 4 months on...and never got a tooth until his 9 mo.birthday! Humphries are holistic pills that are supposed to help the discomfort, and now that he's older, we give him frozen bagels to clamp down on, but 4 mos. is a bit early for that.A frozen washcloth might help, but basically you have to ride it out.She might have some rough nights, and then may go weeks where she's fine...hang in there and good luck!
Reply:get some teething granules from homeopathic shop - they are natural and disolve immediatley and provide relief - infant granules even work on adults - believe me i know.
start massaging the gums, get a finger baby toothbrush - and use it to gently massage the gums
give them something warm to suck on - however most babies wont suck on cold items cause its uncomfortable - have you tried having a cold item when you have toothache - maybe get a warm flannel and let your baby nibble on it
Reply:Once her tooth or teeth pop in she will be fine! The pain is not always easy on a little one! Look to see if a white spot on her gums is showing! That will show where the tooth is comming in! Usually it is the bottom teeth that come in first.
Reply:dont use the gel for teething to much or it makes the gums even more raw ... its a big mistake alot of mothers do... best thing to do for teething is to give your baby tempra or tylonal for babies ... im not sure if advil makes it for babies but you might want to check that out... just use as recommended theres not much else you can do other then that and give alot of hugs and kisses. not to worry it passes.....good luck
