Teething or just oral exploration?

My 13 week old daughter is grabbing anything she can and shoving it in her mouth, she's not wanting her bottle - only drinking about half of what she should be - and is as crabby as anything. She is dribbling a lot more than normal, but I'm not sure if its from chomping on everything, her gums are only slightly swollen. I was extremely lucky with my other kids I didn't even know they were teething until they bit me lol so I'm really not sure what to be looking for

Teething or just oral exploration?
Sounds like she is teething.

The best thing I found when I was in that boat was offering my daughter a wet cloth to chomp on - its cooling and cant hurt her and bonjella (teething gel) was also a life saver when I couldnt get her to settle.

Talk to ur chemist about pain relief and keep an eye on her temperature as well coz this can increase during teething and also be making her crabby.

Good Luck! :o)
Reply:Some babies start drooling a lot a couple of months before the teeth actually come in. Good luck!
Reply:she could be teething buy some of the teething gel and rub it on her gums and see if that will help her.
Reply:i haven't tried this yet as my bubs are only 3 weeks old but I've been told that corn on the cob is great for teething bubs. You eat most of the corn off the cob, leaving little bits on and make sure the cob's still warm. Then give to your bub to go to town on. Also, cold metal spoons help soothe aching little gums. I used to babysit for a woman who used the last trick with her two daughters. Worked like a charm for them!!
