My girl is 5 months old and she's grumpy for a week now is she teething? How do I know if she's teething? Will it hurt her? Hoe does it happen? I'm a first time Mommy...And very worried!

Reply:I am a first time mom too. Your daughter may be teething, but it is still early. i like to use teething rings, that i put in the fridge to keep cool, but don't put them in the freezer. Also, my daughter likes a baby washcloth, soaked and wrung out in ice cold water to suck on. They sell all kinds of medication to put on gums, but it isn't worth it, it just washes away with slobber. I just give my little girl a little tylenol to help ease the pain, which takes about a half hour to kick in. Give 8ml every 4 hours.
Reply:If she is drooling a lot and chewing on things more. Her gums may also be red. Give her something cold to chew on. Baby origel is good too. It may take a while for her teeth to come in. As long as she has something to chew on, she should take it just fine.
