Baby teething?

my 10 week old is teething will it be ok to give him the calpol that i had from the doc that i had for his injections?

his teething gel not working

Baby teething?
10 weeks is not that early for teething to start, any dentist will tell you that teething starts from roughly 12 weeks onwards %26amp; some babies can be born with teeh already visible.

so long as you stick within the recommended dose prescribed by your gp when he had his injections then calpol will be fine.

anbusol is fantastic for teething.

ashton %26amp; parsons teething powders worked brilliantly when my 18 month old started teething.

follow the link below for some good info %26amp; advice. hope his discomfort is better soon, poor little man, teething is no fun at all :(
Reply:If you are absolutely sure he is teething, just give him a half dose (2.5ml)

Teetha sachets are good for teething babies too, I think you can get them at Boots
Reply:yes its ok
Reply:Teetha sachets worked a treat for me but 10 weeks could be really early are you sure its not a touch of colic )infacol did not work for our baby so good old fashioned gripe water did the trick.
Reply:no go and give your 10 week old a caret and go and see the doc a gen
Reply:If he is teething and his teething gel is not working, try using Anbesol. I used this on my daughter when she was teething and it helped, where as the baby Ora-gel and the baby Anbesol didn't do a thing for her. One of the old-fashioned remedies is to give him a chicken bone to chew on. I didn't do this though, because I didn't want to get any strange looks.

But the Anbesol worked wonders.
Reply:Im sure Calpol can only be used from 2 months old and over, unless recommended by the doctor. I would check with your doctor if you could use it for his teething. There are good teething type dummies out on the market which I have heard work quite well? Good Luck - I have a 6 week old and this is one stage im absoloutly DREADING!!!! X
Reply:yes its ok or try a teething ring in the fridge and ashton %26amp; parsons infants powders from boots. herbal remedy so wont harm baby. because your baby is under 6months, the dosage is half a powder dry on the tongue and this dose can be repeated every 2-3 hours.

i used them with my son, who cut all his teeth at once (four in one go at 4months and boy did we know about it) and my parents used them with me and my sister as children so they've been around for ages.

hope that helps and gives you an alternative to try lol
