Painfully Teething 6 month old.?

Can anyone give me details of the teethign process. My 6 month old has be teething for 3 months now. No teeth yet, but soon the doc said. She seems to have all sorts issues that I need to know are expected with teething.

1. ear grabbing

2. Increase or decrease in appetite

3. irritability

4. sleepless ness (daytime)

5. restlessness during the night, wakes up a couple times, seemes like she is in pain.

6. doubles over and turns herself red as if she were pushing hard. (poops normal)

7. Drools alot of course.

Is it normal for her appetite to decrease and she seems like she cant get comfy during the night.

Painfully Teething 6 month old.?
these are all signs of teething, from my personal experiances the sleeplessness is from the pressure they get when laying down. And the appetite decrease is from the pressure when drinking a bottle or feeding. Its totally normal
Reply:give her a cold wash cloth to suck on, or frozen teething ring.
Reply:get a washcloth wet, wring it out and put it in the freezer until frozen. let her suck on it.
Reply:Have you tried teething tablets. They worked great with my daughter. They disolve quick on their little tongues. You might want to take her to get her ears checked. My daughter did all those things and had to get tubes in both her ears. After that she slept good at night, but still pulled on her ears out of habit. Take her to an ear specialist. My pediatrician didnt catch it.
Reply:Sounds pretty normal. Hyland's Teething Tablets work for some babies. About the best you can do is hold her and comfort her as much as possible.
Reply:Hylands teething tablets and a gummy yumy from discovery toys or some other textured teether- also a cold wet washcloth for gumming on is very soothing. all of hte things you listed are normal for teething - I, myself and several others I know used the above methods and they work very well.
Reply:I am a mother of four 28,22,20 and 2 also a grandmother of four and one on the way.I used anbisol.I put it on my finger and rubbed thier gums.I found it to be the best teething remedy.
Reply:Ah! I feel your pain, I am going through the same thing, some help would be applying pressure with a cold wash cloth, Hyland teething tablets work wonders! I only founf them at Wal mart, Ora gel and ask your doc if can give Tynelol for the pain and discomfort, also I gave my son a cold large carrot then he can bite into it, hope I helped......
