Teething question?

My chihuahua is teething and I noticed recently that she moves her bottom jaw back and forth (while her top jaw remains stable) almost like she is grinding teeth? Is that normal for teething?

Also note she is not eating when she does this.

Teething question?
My chihuahua is also teething right now too. This is normal. I asked the vet about it and he said to just get her lots of strong chew toys.
Reply:sounds like teething to me.
Reply:Have the vet check her bite next time your there. Make sure you provide her lots of safe chew toys right now.
Reply:Yes, it's normal. She's using her lower jaw to try to break the teeth through the skin covering them. She doesn't eat because her mouth is painful. Give her a raw carrot to chew on. It will help the teeth to cut through and provide cold to the sore areas in her mouth.
Reply:yes this is normal. like when a baby gets the first teeth. get her some chew toys that you can freeze. or ice. i did with my baby pitbull. she loved it. it numbs the jaw, and the reason she is rocking her jaw is she can feel the tooth
Reply:Call your vet about it but she is probably teething. Until then let her chew on a carrot.
