Is my son teething?

My son recently has lost his appetite and some has suggested the possibility of teething. he doesn't have a fever and is not drooling a lot. the only thing besides loss of appetite is that he has been sucking a lot on his hands and bites my nipple. last week he did start to take a liking to his pacifier, which he previously did not show much interest. we introduced him to a chewing toy and he loves it and lost interest in his pacifier. my questions are, is it possible to like a chewing toy if the baby isn't teething. and is it possible for my son to be teething if he is starting to like to bite on stuff together with loss of appetite?

Is my son teething?
Teethin is very difficult for babies I would not worry about loss of appetite he will eat when he is hungry enough. Encourage water in a bottle if he does not feed at least he wont dehydrate. I put my babys chew toys in the freezer that way it cools the gums when they bite them. The pacifier is good at night for the baby to chew when you dont want to get up just keep offering it. If you have a tooth ache you dont eat either so dont be concerned he will pick up once the tooth is coming.**
Reply:yes nice of you to notice
Reply:He could be teething. Being a mom is such guess work!
Reply:sounds very much like it, my son did for ages before cutting any teeth.
Reply:Definitely sounds like teething to me!

Another give away is if the baby has had any diarrhea diapers? That usually comes in right after the chewing ..
Reply:oh yeah hes teething...he bites because his gums itch...if you got a chewing toy that has water in it...put it in the freezer. then give it to him...it was a life savor for me.
Reply:It sounds like he is teething, baby's discover by putting things in there mouth so from this point on any and everything he will want to put in his mouth. The best thing i found for teething was getting a clean wash cloth wetting it put it in the frezzer for a while and let them chew/suck on it.
Reply:yup it sounds like he is teething try the baby teething tablets if he starts to get fussy from teehing or the baby oragel
Reply:I am bit surpraised for this question. Be happy to see and the aptitie etc.,have no knowledge to the child. teething pl frget otherwise everytime u r worried and u become a patient of intolerance. chewing or bite the nipple is very common and don't beat the child buttry to keep your last finger along with the nipple and you will find that the nipple biting will be soft and finger biting will become hard as the child can understand the difference one gives the tste and energy other gives the exercise. hope u understand. teething will takes place and at the same time the motion of the child will be varied some time instead of semi solid it will be little loose motion. keep enjoying whatever ur child does and be patient and it is your happy asset and not to be pained.
