Teething 6 month old. help?
You have tried everything. There's nothing you can do but be patient. I know it's annoying and stressful but that's what moms have to go through.
Let her bite ur finger.
Reply:did you try putting the teething rings in the freezer for a bit?
humphrys are good too
Reply:go to the doctor
Reply:maybe she has callick. or however u spell it.
call your doctor. maybe he can help!! :]]
Reply:You can try rubbing a little brandy on her gums. Other than that, you've got to deal with it. The baby's in pain, has no idea why, and has no other option but to cry.
Reply:What do you mean? I am 12(almost) So, i cant help you. SORRY. Hope everything works out.
Reply:Let her suck on your little finger, that will do the job
Reply:Tell you what, go out to a Fred Meyer's or a health food store- try out Hyland's Teething Tablets. They're homeopathic, so they're really safe- and they're the only thing that worked on my youngest son. The other thing you can try is Gripe Water, also available at either like a Freddie's or health/herbal store- both of these things worked on my kids. Good luck, I know how horrible this situation feels- just remember, you're not failing your child, they just can't express their annoyance in a positive way yet (I know, easier said than done, huh?) ;)
Reply:I had the same problem...its going to be alright and you are doing the right thing by putting her down.
Have you tried the oraljel in the swabs...its worked better for us. We also do the teething tablets and the tylonel at the same time, nothing wrong with that. Another thing we tryed and it worked for a bit is the homeopathic teething drops from gentle naturals at target. Give her a biter cookie, I know they are messy but it helps. freeze a paci, or get a damp washcloth, put in the freezer for 20 in a ziploc bag and give the wash cloth to her.
good luck
Reply:It is absolutely draining, I know. You seemed to have tried a lot already. I am right there with you. My second child went through a terrible time and I just grinned and beared it, whislt shoving syringe-fuls of calpol down his throat to try to let him sleep more. It turned out many teeth came through at once so it must have been horrid for him too! Don't worry, It will soon be a distant blurrrr........
Good luck!
Reply:Making sure your hands are clean, sometimes massaging the gums helps, but also if giving the teething medicine, don't give too much it can upset the stomach. The teething ring should be cool, not frozen. I've let the teething baby chew(they can't puncture the skin if they have no teeth) on your finger, just make sure your hands are clean and free of lotions or soaps or other chemicals.
Reply:I used to put the wash cloth in fridge and then give it to her to chew, also if I lay her on my tummy she would usually settle for a while.
Reply:Maybe you should contact the child's doctor and tell the nurse all of the things you have done. See if they have an final alternative.
