Can he be teething already?!?!??!?

Our son is a little over 2 months, and i think hes already teething! Is this even possible? None of our kids from what i can remember started teething this young however, he's been drooling alot the last few days, chews on everything, and today he has been extremly fussy and all of the sudden he started chewing really hard on my hand and he stopped fussing. Isnt he too young to be teething? Hes been holding his head since he was about 3 weeks old. I mean holding it on his own very steady. hes a fast learner i think LOL. Does this sound possible?

Can he be teething already?!?!??!?
My son started the same things at about 2 1/2 months and is now 6 months and still doing it all with NO teeth. There is finally a bump on his gum where they are starting to push through. As my doctor put it babies are constantly teething and who knows what are really the signs of it or not. He may just want to chew on everything or he may just be a drooly baby. People tend to blame everything on teething...I don't equate everything my son has done for the last 3 1/2 months to teething.
Reply:Rarely children are even born with teeth, so yes it is possible.
Reply:''yes'' mom of 3 youngest is so different then older kids
Reply:hi friends little boy is 3 weeks old and is cutting 2 teeth so every child is different and they can teeth this early

Reply:I had the same thing, little rsie cheeks and drooling a lot very early on. however didnt cut her first tooth until June - 8 moths old, so, i'd be surprised if he's teething - maybe just getting used to new textures
Reply:It's possible, my daughter has been teething from about 3 months maybe a little earlier and at 7 months she still has no teeth.
Reply:Yes I think he is teething. My son was born with a tooth at the bottom and by 3 months he had 2 teeth. He slowed down and by the age of 1year old he only had about 5 teeth.

Each child is different.
Reply:Yep, definitely possible! I got my first tooth when I was 3 months, but the doctor told my mom that some babies are born with teeth! They are all different!
Reply:I just took my 3 month old son to he doctor and he said he is just barely starting to teeth. There are 2 in the front of his lower jaw that we can feel under the skin. The doctor said they may come in quickly like usual teeth or they can just bother him for a few months.
Reply:Well, as you know my son is almost 3 months now and began drooling about 1 and a half months, I was shocked. I don't remember my other 3 kids drooling so early. My son loves to chew on his hands or his bib. 7 weeks later he still drools constantly and no sign of teeth. I've done some reading and it looks like that 2 months or so is an average age for a baby to start drooling because they don't have the muscles developed to keep it in there. In fact, which I'm not quite sure I believe, I read in a baby magazine that there is no direct link between drooling and teething, just lack of knowledge as to where to put the drool. :) Two other mom friends of mine have 2-3 month old boys and they have the same complaint but no teeth yet. Anyways, I kind of hope teeth come in sooner than later, getting it over with is what I want to do. Well, I'm sure his pearly whites will shine through soon enough. Good Luck!
Reply:Absolutely! Everyone told me it was too early, but my second daughter had her bottom two teeth cut through by her four-month checkup, and in my experience, they start showing symptoms about two months before the teeth actually come through.

Trust your instincts, mama. You know your baby best.
