Projectile vomiting and teething?

My daughter is 3 months old (not sure if shes teething or not) and has all the symptoms of teething. But not to long ago she projectile vomited. So my question is, is projectile vomit caused by teething or is she just sick? If you need more info just ask.

Projectile vomiting and teething?
I'm not sure if actually projectile vomiting is part of teething. She might have a stomach virus. Does she do it alot? just one time? My son hasn't gotten any teeth in yet, he's almost 7 months, but I'm sure if she's throwing up, and shooting it across the room, I'd ask your doctor.

My son's been droolin' like mad, and "acting" like he's been teething for several months now... never got sick like that tho.

Didn't your daughter just recover from an illness not long ago? Hope she's doin OK.
Reply:She's sick, teething usually doesn't start until 6-8 months.
Reply:The projectile vomitting is probably due to her reflux. Also, if the nipple size is to big, she might be drinking her formula too fast which would make her throw it back up. She would only need a trip to the doctor if she was projectile vomitting everytime she ate.

Also, my daughter was teething at 3 months, and at her 4 month check-up the doctor predicted that she would get teeth early. She will be 10 months old on Tuesday, and there is not one tooth in her head!!!!! So, even though she might be teething, they might not come for a while.
Reply:I have never know teething and vomting to go hand and hand. she may have vomited due to teething would be if she choked somehow, like on her siliva, since babies have alot of that when they are teething.

I think she sounds more sick then teething, espically becasue being sick and "just teething" look very similar. If she vomits again you should call her sick.
Reply:I have never seen any of my children projectile vomit from teething.

Vomiting can be difficult to identify at that age because they do not eat food and are prone to intense spitting up. Doctor will not generally do anything unless dehydration or vomiting for many days. Continue to nurse or give bottles.
Reply:My son projectile vomits when he over eats....which he likes to do. He has two teeth but I never saw any correlation between the two.

P.S. Sorry I didn't email you back my myspace is eilmfp
