Teething 3 Month Old?

So my 3 month old is cutting teeth already and the teething gel is recommened for those 4+ months. My ped said follow the directions and give it to her along with cold teething rings, tylenol, frozen wash rags...etc.

Question is, anyone else's kid cut early and did you use the gel? I feel so bad for her little mouth. What else seemed to work for you too?

Teething 3 Month Old?
my Ped. said that the gels actually might make it worst! it relive the pain for a while but then pain can come back even worse then before!

you might think i am crazy but my 9-month son now has 6-teeth and working on the 7th one; my grandma told me to get a green onion and wash it take off the end and put it in the fridge for a while and have the baby nob and chew on it and helps with the pain and the juice help numb the gums with a natural juice!

give a try (it won't hurt!)

be Patience! good luck!
Reply:i used baby orajel teething swabs and chewing tablets that melt in their mouth bot work fine but the tablets last longer so its easier at night to give then.
Reply:My daughter got her first tooth at four and a half months, and that seemed pretty early to me. I never used the gel. I did use Tylenol a couple of times, and gave her a wet washcloth to suck on. She really did good, and didn't seem to need too much attention other than those two things. Your child may eat a little differently for the next few days/weeks - but don't be alarmed. Its just a reaction to the teething. Good luck!
Reply:they dont recomment the gel cause in will or can numb their throat preventing the gag reflex and may cause baby to choke. i didnt use it till 6 months of age. Frozen teething rings is good, cold carrots, cold cloth (preferably one of their bath ones, not one you wash dishes with), wooden spoons, basically anything they can chew on and not hurt themself.
Reply:My baby had her teeth at 3 month old , i did not give her the gel , but i did give her the cold teething rings and sometimes tylenol and it helped
Reply:When my first child started teething I bought the gel but before I put it on her gums, I put it on my tongue. I immediately threw it in the garbage. It's harsh!! I used a cool washcloth and I gently rubbed her sore spots. None of my four children wanted anything to do with the cold rings. Good luck to you!
Reply:my babies are 41/2 months and no teeth yet, but i know this is normal i know moms with babies that are the same like yours so don't worry, and for things to use i think your doing a good job, it's just that it's really painful for them but it will get better.
