7 month old daughter possibly teething?

My daughter is nearly 7 months and has been showing signs of those little teeth coming in for around 2 weeks.

The symptoms that she has had are

1 Drooling excesively (now has a little rash on her chin!)

2 Flushed cheeks (very hot and red at times)

3 chewing on absoloutely everything

She also has a runny nose. I s this anything to do with teething?

And she is slightly off her feeds. When i go near her with bottle she take 2/3 ounces then screams!

Ive tried teething granules, teething biscuits, teething rings, cold cloths, teething gels (which did not seem to help at all) and for the last two nights she has woke up nearly every hour whining a little.

Should i give her baby calpol? I got told not to unless their was a fever (which she hasnt had) but its the pain/discomfort thats bothering her!

Any advice on teething welcomed!

7 month old daughter possibly teething?
Calpol is only really good for bringin down a fever. Give her some baby nurofen It will help the pain.

The runny nose is proberly from the teeth but rub some vicks on her chest to keep her airways clear as this could be making her wake at night too.

She could be teething for a while before u see a pearly white. My daughter had all those symptoms for over a month befor she got her first tooth.

Dont worry bout her not eating as she is proberly feeling unwell and not in the mood for eating. She will eat if shes hungry.

Make sure u get as much rest as u can. Ask ur partner or family to help out coz a grumpy baby does not need a grumpy mummy and u will be exhausted!

Good luck and i hope she cuts her tooth soon.

O and look in her mouth and see if u can see any little white lumps under her gums. If u can, the tooth is nearly through.
Reply:My son is 6.5 months old and has the exact symptoms. Three days ago two teeth started peeking through the skin. Now his top gums are swollen, that is the best sign that the teeth are getting ready to bust through aside from all of the symptoms you described. Motrin works best at night. Hylands teething tabs work great before the teeth come through. Good luck, I certainly know where you are coming from at this moment.
Reply:If she is not crying then just let her drool away with no medicine, my son was teething at 4 months and had no pain. Yes they drool alot for a couple months then again at 15 months+, The rash is from the drool when you go to the doctor he will give you a cream.

Try the orajel at night to numb her teeth.
Reply:i think if she in pain give her calpol if it were you wouldnt you take something for it. calpol also do a teething gel or there is bonjela. have you tried biccy pegs they smell awful but my little boy loved chewing them
Reply:My son had all the symptoms youve described,at 6mth old 2 teeth came within 1 week it knocked him for 7,he had red cheeks, runny nose, diahorria, earache and was off his milk, the grying was awful,i gave him calpol at regular intervals and it helped. He in now 7mths 2 wks and im sure hes teething again. Its awful to see that your little one is in pain and there is not much you can do
Reply:My daughter is 6 month old and she is having the same symptoms. I am using teething gell which makes the pain less. Actually we cannot do much, that is a difficult time for childeren to pass. Just make her to sleep as much as possible.
Reply:MY DAUGHTER IS 4 MONTHS AND IS DOING THE EXACT SAME THING
Reply:My son is going through the same thing at 6 months. Believe the first person about the hyland tabs. I got mine at cvs! They are, indeed, what others call "baby valium". They almost instantly calm my son and help him sleep through the night even when he is in some real pain. I wet them on my finger and crushed them a bit and then rubbed 2 of them along his gums. Wonderful!
Reply:Try a numbing agent for sore gums, for feedings don't force her. Try giving her juice or something else that she might like. Try some cold yogurt, frozen or regular.

Tylonel for fevers. At least she is drinking most of food. Lastly, just let her cry if you've tried everything. If it becomes to much put her down and give yourself a break. I hate when Mom's think they have to cure every cry, it doesn't work! Give yourself a break too.
