Teething and more?

My mom is bugging me to call the doctor to get her seen cause she has a runny(clear-slight green) nose, runny poo, and sometimes small fever that comes and goes.

She is 6 months old.

She is getting 2 back teeth in first and i know she would get those like i said above. I have teething tablits which i hate giveing her cause she gags on them so i stick to the gel which she is liking the taste. Grandma preferes the tablits.

Should I make her a appointment to be seen or try to explain to the worried grandma that it's normal during teething. She had a small cough for 3 days but went away several days ago.

First time mom here + expecting my 2nd, can some one please give me some advice on this issue cause my mother is driving me crazy on this and really startn to make me feel like i dont know what im doing

Teething and more?
usually they get the front bottom teeth first. She may be teething but I don't think teething would cause greenish runny nose. Sounds like she has a cold. I wouldn't take her to the dr. unless she has a fever that won't go down or has symptoms for more than a week. It's cold season!
Reply:if there is ever any color to nasal discharge, take baby to the doctor, color indicates infection. yellow or green if it is not completely clear, go to the doctor, every time
Reply:I say skip the doc. It sounds like a teething problem....im a maybe expecting first time mom, but i work in a daycare and have 9 nieces and nephews. When they were all teething they had similar symptoms. Maybe you should sit and talk with your mom and tell her to back off a little. if you know that your daughter likes the gel better than the tablets, then go with what you know about your daughter. you need to talk with your mom.
Reply:I would call the nurse and just describe her symptoms. They will be able to tell you what is going on and whether or not she needs to be seen. Most of these symptoms seem like either teething or a slight cold, neither of which a doctor could do anything about. When my daughter was 2 months old she developed a small cough, a slight fever, and a stuffy nose. After calling the nurse she said that there was nothing they could do for that that I wasn't already doing. In my opinion, just call the on-call nurse and talk with her. It will make a worried grandma feel better, plus be able to catch anything pretty quickly just incase your daughter is catching something. Good luck!!
Reply:Agreeing with Noelle S above.

About your mother... If you have better experience with teething gels use that, the world has changed since she had you and you just have to go with your own instincts sometimes.

Go to the doctor if her nose discharge doesn't change color or her fever doesn't go away within a day or two, I wouldn't go before unless your daughter get lethargic.
Reply:ok lock grandma in the closet for a few days that should smarten her up! lol All the symptoms you listed are pretty common for teething babies, the cough is usually from the excesse saliva that is constantly dripping from their mouths. If your baby seems normal dont worry you know best you are the mommy. If grandma doesnt like it tell her to take the baby to the doctor if it will make HER feel better.
