Questions about teething? or is it teething?

I think my 9 month son is teething. He has his two bottom teeth already, and is displaying the signs of teething, but no bumps. He has been waking up many times through the night when previously it was none to 2 times. I am guessing this is because of teething, but not positive. I gave him tyenol the other night which helped, but this has been going on for weeks. I don't want to and won't give him tyenlol every night.is anyone going through this right now, or gone through this? If he has two bottom teeth will it be for sure the top middle teeth that come next. Or do they come in whatever order? Thank you!

Questions about teething? or is it teething?
Hi,

I think babies usually get the bottom 2 front teeth first and then the top 2 front teeth and then the rest start coming in. He won't have all his baby teeth until after he's about 2 years old. To answer your question, it certainly could be teething, or he could be going through a growth spurt and he's waking up hungry...hard to say. Maybe you could give him a cool teether to chew on when he wakes up and see if that calms him down, then you would know that it's his teeth that are waking him up. I agree you shouldn't give him tylenol every night. Unfortunately, this is probably not the answer you want to hear, but it may be just "one of those things" that you'll never really figure out but he will definitely get beyond it. Welcome to motherhood!! The next 18 years will be full of those kinds of moments. You sound like a genuinely caring parent, though, so hang in there and pretty soon he'll get beyond this stage!!!
Reply:it may be teething... try a little chloroseptic on your finger.. and rub the gums, so that you can relieve the pain and lay off the tylenol. it works and its safer
