So Sully must be teething now since the problem wasn't his ears. SO my question is: when you child is teething really bad and crying and miserable and refusing to eat, what do you do? I resorted to egiving him a bottle of formula. We were weaning a bit, but with these teeth, they are kicking his butt! Is it bad to just give bottles when he won't eat? Or should I get something like pediasure so he can get some more nutrients? I'm heading out to the store soon should I get anything special for when he won't eat? He'll be 12m tomorrow.
Teething question again....?
I would offer food, but if he doesn't eat it, don't worry. The molars are hard on them. This happened to my daughter and all she wanted to do was sleep. Give him tylenol or motrin every 4 hours and make sure he is comfy. Try giving him his sippy cup with juice in it. Most times that was all my daughter would take. Don't worry too much. This is normal. When the pain stopped bothering her she started to eat like a horse! Good luck.
Reply:you should try orajel that worked for my daughter when she was really bad at teethin i wouldn't reccomend pediasure unless he is sick.... but it sounds like a good idea.... also try infants tylenol somethin to ease the pain before you give him pediasure
Reply:He probably has a dicky tummy too...Ashton %26amp; Parsons Powders are good for that usually only chemists stock them. They are herbal so are an alternative to calpol etc. Not sure if I spelled the name right it's been a few years since my kids needed them.
Reply:if he is over 4 months you could give him infant tylenol or you could go to a natural food place sometimes they have teething tablets. the tylenol will help with the fever (infant drops)
Reply:I would try giving him some Tylenol or the teething tablets ,and if that can't help him I would look into letting one of those teething toys that you can put fruit in and put an ice cube in it and let him just put that in his mouth because I can say that was one of the only things that seem to help my daughter with her pain. I hope this helps because I know it just breaks your heart when your little one in in pain.
