Hylands teething tablets?

Hello,

I came across Hyland's teething tablets and wanted to know if anyone has used them. From what I have read, they are safe to use and natural. I've read there are no side effects as well. For those who have used them, have they worked for you? How long can you keep using these teething tablets? My son has been teething for a while now and I've been giving him some tylenol, but my ped advised me not to use tylenol for too long. Any advice?

Hylands teething tablets?
They are WONDERFUL!!! They didn't have these when my child was small, but I recently came across them when we were babysitting for someone. I asked the mom about them (we had the baby at night - every night), she told me to get them and I did. Oh my gosh! They made him go from a fussy baby to a happy, smiling baby again. We used them for over 6 months and he had no side effects. She still uses them now that he's older (almost 2) for when he's teething. Buy them by the dozens...
Reply:The key active ingredient in teething tablets is belladonna. And, belladonna DOES have risks and side effects. Also, belladonna carries a very high rate of allergic reactions.

If you are considering this, discuss it, in details, with your baby's pedi BEFORE using them.
Reply:I have read there is no studies that show them anymore helpful then placebo...

and you know what??

I SWEAR they work for my daughter. I use them.
Reply:LOVE THEM!!! However, just an FYI, they don't work for all babies. But they do work for the majority and I think they are the absolute best. I discovered them with my nephew and he will be 9 this year and I have been telling every one I know ever since. I also used them with my 1st, but not my 2nd due to his milk allergy since they are in a lactose base. And you can use them right along with pain reliever's (I recommend ibuprofen, since its also an anti-inflammatory %26amp; will help with

the swollen gums).

Good Luck! Also, check out http://hylands.com/ they have all sorts of homeopathic remedies for all sorts of childhood problems.
Reply:I have used them since my daughter started teething at 6 months, and she is now 11 months old. They work great and are natural. Tylenol can cause kidney damage. Is you HAVE to use pain medicine I would use Ibuprofen, but only if you have to. The teething tablets should work fine though. Also try a frozen rag that they can chew on.
Reply:I know a girl who used them for both of her boys and she seems to think they are a wonder drug. According to her, they work well.

I only use a .8 dose of Tylenol every now and then right before bed if I think my son is crabby for no reason other than MAYBE teething. It calms him a bit.
Reply:They were wonderful. I also let my son chew on a wet wash cloth that I had put in the freezer.
