Teething question?

My baby is 9 1/2 months and she still has no teeth. I was wondering does diarreaha happen when they are teething. She has all of the symptoms now so i figured she was finally teething. If so how long after the diarreaha starts will she get her tooth. Her gums are swollen and white also. Also she has had a low fever.

Teething question?
My son never got the diarreha with teething, you may want to call your pediatritian if the fever and diarreha continue. As for no teeth yet, no worries. She or he will still get the idea of chewing up things just by using her gums. I've actually read that the longer it takes for teeth, the healthier the teeth are. Just keep giving tylenol, teething rings, cold popsicles, or even teething tablets to ease the pain. Hope it helps!
Reply:they will come eventually. diarreaha is normal.

give her something to chew on tho, this can help
Reply:It sounds like she's on her way. Just provide baby with a teething ring or something so she can cut her gums, and you'll probably notice one poking through any day now.
Reply:The diarreaha won't last too long nor will the fever but that is definitely normal. A tooth should be poking out very soon and use teething rings to let her chew on to help relieve some ofthe pain. I also gave my children some Tylenol to help with the fever and pain. Good luck!
Reply:To help her get them on through, wet a clean wash cloth in cold water and let her chew on it. The cold will ease the pain and the cloth is soft enough she can bite as hard as she likes and not hurt the gums. Just watch her and don't let her get choked on it. My boys also used it to take out their frustrations on it when their gums were hurting.
Reply:Sounds like teething give her something to chew on a cold wet wash rag works great get it wet put in the fridge tie a knot in one end and let her go to town this will help break the skin but watch the fever and diarrhea b/c with teething the fever should stay low if she can't sleep or gets really fussy try teething tabs ( all natural at Wal-Mart)
Reply:Sounds like teething but it also sort of sounds like a case of thrush! Nothing serious though. Generally the later they teethe the easier it is on them! Uhm is she drooling a lot? The drool is what triggers the diarrhea. Good luck finding teething relief! Everybody elses answers for relief are good. The basic orajel is also great but I save that for late night pain when I just need some sleep! I have four kids and #2 loved to suck on whole dill pickles when he was teething. They were cold, knobby, and the salt reduces swelling! We stuck to the whole because he didn't bite into those. We still watched him closely though!
