Teething Question...?

My lil girl is 5 1/2 months she is cutting two teeth (the both have broken through at the same time) and possibly another is coming in. She has had Diahrrea for 4 days now, It is very watery and kinda orange she is poohing about 6+ times a day, but she is not fussy or crying, as a matter of fact she is still laughing and playing like normal, everyone is telling me it is just normal with teething not to worry about her. But I am worried about her dehiderating, I started giving her Pedia Light yesterday (even though I have not spoken to her Dr. Is this ok too) Did any of your children do this while teething? As long as she is still peeing regularly then she is ok with fluids right? At what point do you think I should take her to her Dr.

Sorry I know there are a lot of questions here, but I am a 1st time mom, and I dont have my mom to ask these types of questions to...

Thanks

Teething Question...?
Although most doctor deny it, diarrhea is very common during teething.

Babies have increased saliva due to the teething and that causes the diarrhea.

Just change her as often as needed , even leave her with out a diaper once in a while. That really is good to air everything out.

You can continue with formula .This should resolve by it self.

Enjoy your baby !
Reply:My son gets the runs every time before he starts the fussy part of teething. And its horridly wet and runny and lasts about 3-4 days.

I honestly wouldnt worry about it. Everyone I know has had the same issue. My doctor told me they dont know why it happens, but it does and not to worry about it.

So long as she doesnt have fever just keep drinks available for her and it will pass.
Reply:These symptoms are typical for a child who is teething, but they might be related to an infection, which teething children are more suseptible to due to stress. A couple of signs you can look for with concern to dehydration: dark yellow urine, dry/cracked lips, dry skin. Keep up with the pedialyte, and if you notice any signs of dehydration, or diahrrea continues for more than a week, take her to the MD for a checkup.
Reply:Just take her to the doctor anyway, don't try to diagnose your baby yourself. Even though it probably is because she's teething, or her carrots she;s been eating dont agree with her. Theres no dumb reason to go the doctor take her to the doctor.
Reply:I have two boys one who just turned three and a four month old. if you ever have any questions feel free to ask. cuz i love to help other moms.

All i can tell you is take her to the doctor so she doesn't get dehydrated!!!! So keep my info in case you need some help!!!
Reply:it is completely normal. as long as you are keeping fluids in her you have nothing to worry about. it is a normal side effect of teething. the only worry you should have is a nasty rash.. keep her dry and clean at all times...
Reply:What my mum tells me is if your worried go to the doctor or your areas family health clinic if price is a problem. Yes alot of babies get the runs when their teething but it may also be something else you should find out just for peace of mind
