Teething already?

What are signs of teething with babys i have a 4 1/2 month old baby and latley she has been chewing on her fingers really hard and has been getting up about three 0 clock in the morning when she usally sleeps through the night. Is this the start of teething.

Teething already?
she could be teething. my kids started doing that around the same time. get her a cold washcloth or a teething ring. good luck!
Reply:Probably, lots of babies already have teeth at 4 monthes. Mine did.
Reply:Yup, that is probably it. You may not be able to see or feel any teeth in there for like a month or so, it takes a while. but that is what my son did.
Reply:teething symtoms can come and go even before a tooth comes. If you are first time mom it is hard to tell. I did not tell until I say a white spot on the gum line. If she will let you stick your finger in there and feel around. She most likely is some baies start teething earlier than others.
Reply:i would say yes from the info your giving. you can help with the itchy gums by taking a face cloth, wetting it, and sticking it in the freezer. after it is frozen (not solid) give it to baby. the cold and texture of cloth will make her feel better. also, you can check her gums to see how she is doing by looking for any white on the gums or bumps on the front of her gums (that will be her teeth coming up) on the bottom they always seem to come first. good luck if she is teething you are just in the beginning of a lot of sleep interrupted nights.
Reply:It very likely is teething. However, she may not get her teeth for some time yet. My little one started "chewing" at 5 months and just got her first 2 teeth at 14 months. If it seems to be bothering her, ask your pediatrician about giving her a little Tylenol at night.
Reply:My son was 4 months when his first tooth came in (bottom front right).

Good luck!
Reply:Yup! Our youngest got her first teeth at 4 months (on the bottom jaw) She didn't get the third tooth until 6 months though.
