Teething queston?

My daughter is 5 1/2 mos. She's been cranky every night for the last week and hasn't hardly slept either, she's been drooling and chewing on her fist for the last month. I know these are all signs of teething, but just in the last week, she's been spitting up a lot, pretty much after every time she eats or drinks something. I've noticed it more just yesterday and today. Is this also part of teething? I have plans to contact her doctor tomorrow but I'm just curious to know what mommies think. I'm a first time mom. Thank you.

Teething queston?
Yes, it is. Give her the teething rings. Also rub some whisky on her gums. It really works.
Reply:Yes this is normal when a child is teething and sometimes that have diarrhea as well so be prepared. For the vomiting try pedialyte to replace her electrolytes from all that vomiting.
Reply:Could be teething but it could also be somehting she is eating? Is she on cereal yet? If so try a different kind (rice, ost, etc..).
Reply:Yes its OK feel her gums or look in her mouth to see if there are white dots let her chew on some thing cold

some good things are put a put a carrot in the freezer and let her chew on it or a waffle

and a ice bag but be careful she could chew a hole in it. they have textured toys that are good

they have baby oragel

I agree with the wiskey it may sound bad but its just a couple of drops off your finger you will see a marked inprovemnet for hours
Reply:Baby oral gel for the gums. Also a pop sickle they come in real fruit flavors. The coolness will help.Grandma's give them a soft cloth with chipped ice.inside.The babies chewed on it for comfort.
Reply:Yes, the spitting up is probably caused by teething. My dd got her first tooth right at 5 1/2 months.

My son currently has 5 teeth at 8 months. I know when he is teething hard core because his stool get soooo stinky. We say that it is "acidic" from all the drool he is swallowing.

Teething is on going. It really seems to go on for months and months. So, you will figure out what comforts your baby the best. My dd liked to nurse, my ds likes to bite me while nursing... Ha ha. My dd loved ice chips, my ds hates super cold stuff.
Reply:Put her teeting rings in the frigerator so they can be cold for her gums, also try baby orajel! That helps!
