Questions about teething?

does teething mess with the sleeping habits and feeding habits.. my pediatrician said my son is teething ..and his schedule that he normally is on has been hay wire...and sometimes he will eat more and then less..so i didnt know if this had anything to do with teething..?

Questions about teething?
Yep it sound like your little guy is definitely teething. They make teething tablets you can give. They come in daytime and nighttime tablets. Frozen wash cloths and teething rings will help too.
Reply:It has everything to do with teething.Poor little thing is in pain.
Reply:surely.

his mouth hurts. sometimes so bad he cant sleep well or eat well. then when it feels better ..... he's really hungry and will eat more.
Reply:teething messes with all kinds of things and even more so when it comes to sleeping. use some tylenol before bed because teething gets worse when babies sleep
Reply:Lol, my daughter is teething too and she's been haywire lately and driving me nuts. Won't eat her solids for a day and a half and not drinking as many bottles, then eating a bunch at one sitting and ready for more twenty minutes later, lol. Sleeping's all messed up too and she's broken about 6 nipples gumming them so hard the holes become huge. It's a pain in our butts lol, but it's harder on them. Just keep using the relief method that works best(teething tablets, orajel, frozen wash cloth, etc) and remember it is a stage(well that's what they've told me, she's my 1st, lol) Good luck!
Reply:yes it can mess up sleeping and eating habits.

Try giving him teething tablets, i got them at the pharmacy in the baby aisle, they also have them at the health food store. They are homeopathic and all natural. They dissolve right under the tongue. If my son is inconsolable, i stick one under his tongue and he's asleep in 5 minutes. that's how i know its his teeth bothering him. i don't do it often, but i know i can if i need to!
Reply:think about it like this...when you're mouth hurts (sore gums, sensitive teeth, tooth ache, abscess tooth, do you feel like eating? Also, teething can be a cause of fever, diarrhea, consitpation, ear ache...would you feel like eating then? How do you think you would sleep?

To soothe him, try letting him suck on a frozen washcloth.

Hylands Teething Tablets work wonders...far better than Orajel or Ambesol (there's also a brand called Little Teethers Teething Tablets, but they don't melt as well...could pose as a choking hazard). And baby will most likely glady take it (mine did and she would NEVER take the Orajel or Ambesol...also, with the Orajel and Ambesol, if you use it too often, it causes the gums to harden, which makes the teething process longer and MORE painful in the long run. The tablets don't have that effect. I get the tablets at Babies R Us and Publix.

My daughter also likes frozen carrots, frozen broccoli, frozen cucumber, and frozen celery. This helps her teething and acts as a teething toy, but without the threat of toxic plastic chemicals leeching into her gums.

PLEASE DON'T GIVE ACETAMINOPHEN! (TYLENOL OR PANADOL)

An acetaminophen overdose can lead to life-threatening liver and kidney problems.

Acetaminophen overdose is one of the most common poisonings worldwide. People often think that acetaminophen, a pain-relieving medicine, is extremely safe. However, it may be deadly if taken in large doses.
Reply:yes he can have teething tablets and give him a frozen bagel to naw on it helps and feels good to the gums
Reply:when teething, his gums may be swollen, and that cause an uncomfortable feeling on chewing hot food

try to give him food from fridge, so can cool down his uncomfortable feeling

what is orayel? is that teether? u can get him a teether, put in in fridge before give it to the baby

no need any tablet, just give him panadol baby to relief the pain

my doctor said it is safe to give panadol baby quite often (1 - 2 times a day, preferable just once a day) when ur baby is irritated......
Reply:Of course it'll hurt him to eat. I know for mine I would have to try over and over again for him to drink his bottle and eventually he'd take it. When mine was teething, I didn't really like orajel b/c he didn't like the feeling and the flavors grossed him out which led other problems. For his fussiness I used these natural teething pellets that you can find at CVS or Walgreens. I know that they have some for the pain but I haven't been able to find those. Give him something to chew on.
