Teething problems?

My 5 month old son has been having a really hard time with teething! He is allergic to baby oragel, he hates teething rings, hates pacies, does not like anything cold in his mouth what so ever...i give him tylonal fever and pain reducer, it helps for a very short time...any suggestions or ideas? I have also told the doc. about this, and he pretty much says to wait it out.

Teething problems?
We use homeopathic teething tables by Hyland's, which are great. You can find them at any pharmacy. This is better than giving him baby tylenol everyday.

They can be dissolved under the tongue, which takes like 2 seconds, or can be administered in his bottle.

Also, what about a wet washcloth to chew on ?
Reply:my son hates the teething rings too, he seems to prefer to chew on his plastic toys (which arent soft AT ALL). im not sure what i can tell you other than just know that he wont teethe forever. good luck!!
Reply:You'll need to wait it out like the doc says... but you could try

Teething tablets (safe, natural and are well known to do the trick)

Teething biscuits (from gerber, messy but effective)

There isn't much else you can do. And.. even with Orajel, tylenol and teething tablets my daughter still has some hard times when teething and there is NOTHING that helps her.

I only gave my daughter Tylenol IF she had a fever otherwise I found it really didn't do much good for the "pain" part.
Reply:You can also try rubbing a very SMALL amount of whiskey on his gums....this will help dull the pain for him.

I have never done this myself....but I know people who have and it works wonders!
