Teething? 4 month old starts crying a low cry while sticking out bottom lip and makes little moaning noises?

He usually doesn't cry unless hungry or tired, but for the past two days he will start crying all of a sudden. It is a different cry than his usual cry, low with little moaning noises. While doing this his mouth is open and his bottom lip pokes out like he is pouting. I can't figure out what else it could be besides teething. Any ideas? What can we do to ease the pain? Teething rings don't seem to interest him.

You could touch his gums feel if any teeth coming out...

and whether he have any lost appetite.

Apply some BONJELA gel onto the gums that u feel teeth sprouting.

Baby like the taste and sensation of cooling Bonjela gel.

it also comforts them and making the teething not so painful.
Reply:If he's teething he will drool alot and bite his fingers constantly. baby Oragel is a huge help. However, if that isnt it and he is only crying after he eats, GERD is more common in babies than people realize. Try a half tsp or 2 ml of maalox. If this helps tell his pediatrician. Good Luck!
Reply:Could be teething, is he drooling a lot? Usually drooling will be another symptom of teething. You can try baby orajel, but this never worked for me. I always did tylenol, but only use it if you are sure he is teething and there isn't something else wrong like reflux or anything.
Reply:dampen a face cloth and put it in the freezer for about 3 minutes...let him suck and chew on it it will cool his gums and relieve most of the pain. My son didn't like teething ring either...
