I have a 3 month old who cut her first tooth two weeks ago. I can tell its really hurting her as shes constantly chewing on her fingers and her wraps. Does any one know what else i can do to help her.
(she cant keep hold of a teething ring and you cant give babies bonjella/teething gel till 4 months).
My oldest daughter didnt start to get her teeth till she was 6 months so i didnt have this problem first time round.
Teething question.?
Take a clean, soft washcloth and soak it in apple juice. Wring it out, tie the cloth in a knot, and place it in the freezer for 30 minutes (it will not freeze hard like water does, rather, it will get very cold and nearly frozen). When frozen, give it to your baby, placing it first in his mouth, then his hands. You will see almost immediate results. Your baby will love the apple juice and most doctors approve it for even very young infants. The combination of the cold and the texture of the washcloth will begin to ease your baby's pain right away.
Reply:try taking a cold washcloth and putting it in the freezer for a half hour and then letting her suck on that
Reply:Frozen Mini Bagels (do not defrost). They are big enough to where the baby won't choke (don't let them defrost all the way), but they are nice and numbing on the teeth and gums of teethers.
Reply:ask your health visitor about the bonjella. i gave it to my children at around 3 mths, on her advise.
if your daughter cant hold a ring, put a plastic spoon in the freezer for a few hrs, and give her that.
Reply:how about a cold pacifier? can you put it in the fridge for a while or even in the freezer for a while and then give it to her. the cold may be soothing and she can hopefully suck on it and keep it in her mouth and maybe even chew on it a little to ease the discomfort. Tylenol can help too but check with your doc first.
Reply:A bay can take benedryl get the capsules break one open and rub the powder on your babies gum and trust me it works. My mom did it to my sister and I, and I did it to my two kids and we are all fine it wont hurt them but it will make your baby go to sleep.Your baby probably need a nice rest after all the crying and pain.
Reply:You can try massaging her gums with your finger too. Also there's a homeopathic that's mild to use even on babies. It's called calc phos 30CH, and you just dissolve one pellet in some boiled bottled water. Let it cool off and give it to her with an eye dropper. Only give it to her when she seems to be in pain. Hold her lots and cuddle her, talk to her, these are all things that help with my baby.
Good luck!
Reply:Cold washer
Reply:when my son had such a problem i simply bought him a baby teether.whenever i could carry him and he starts to kind of want to bite my palms. Then i could give it to him.
But remember it should be kept clean coz it could cause intestinal problems if its not handed with care.
Reply:well when i was teething my mom put a egg in a jar and she said it helped my teeth come on and cut through the gum, it wont stop the pain but the teeth should cut through the gums a lot quicker
Reply:She's only a month off being the recommended age for bonjella so I'd give her that. My daughter started teething at around 3 months %26amp; I gave her bonjella %26amp; try some baby panadol as well.
