Baby teething at 10 weeks?

Baby teething at 10 weeks?

Hi there

i think my baby girl has started to teethe as she is blowing bubble and drooling, is restless at night and during the day, and has her fist constrantly in her mouth frantically 'nibbling' it. Is this a little early to teethe or is this quite normal. Any tips for me as a first time mum??

Thanks

Baby teething at 10 weeks?
some babies might start showing signs that they are teething at 3 months, but chances are the tooth itself wont come through for at least a month (I know its a horrid thought having an upset baby for that long) very few babies get a tooth before 4 months, but unfortunatley they can start to teeth much earlier.

being only 10 weeks your baby isnt old enough for bonjella or other teething gells, your only options are a bit of baby liquid paracetamol at night and using teething rings to gnore on during the day.

the signs you mention can be toher things also, it is totally normal for them to start sucking anything and everything she gets her hands on at this age, the restless nights can also be other things too, such as a growth spurt, being too hot, or too cold.

either way I hope shes feeling better soon
Reply:Its unusual for babies under 4mths to teeth but not unheard of. Mine didn't get their 1st teeth till 8 %26amp; 9 mths old.

Try teething relief medicine or baby panadol if she seems unsettled and in pain, if this doesn't work within 12-24 hrs take her to child health nurse.

Also look at her gums and see if there are any hard white bumps under the surface or are they red, swollen and really hot? These are all teething signs as well as rosy cheeks and temperature and extra runny poo.

Try putting a wet face washer in the fridge or freezer for her to suck on (they love to suck on wet washers for some reason) and also put icecubes into a sippy cup of water for her to drink. It keeps it nice a cool on the gums.

Good luck, take her to the child health nurse or doc if things don't settle down.
Reply:Yep, sounds like teething. It doesn't mean a tooth will pop right up, but they are moving!

Try Teething Tablets, found at Walgreen's next to the baby orgel
Reply:Hi there, it very well could be possible, my youngest child of 5, had her first 2 teeth cut at only 3months old!! the rest of my children never cut theirs till around 5months. Dont panic so far my wee lady ( now aged 4yrs ) has perfect beautiful wee teeth.
Reply:yes they can teeth that early i was told that about my daughter agout that age unfortunateky she didnt get a tooth till 10 mths drove me crazy being my first hope that dont happen to you on the other hand my next one a son had 4 teeth at 4 mths they are all soooo different try rubbing her gums and see if shes old enough for teething meds cant remember mine are 28 29 now enjoy her it goes by quicker than you think right now
Reply:my baby was also like this from about the age of 6 weeks, however his first tooth did;nt appear until he was gone 6 months. it;s possibly all the signd that the teeth are lining up ready to break thought in a few months
Reply:while extremely rare there have been cases of babies being born with teeth ... so therefore it isn't impossible for your little one to be teething .
Reply:All babies dribble and put their hands in their mouth. It doesn't mean they are teething. It's not impossible for a baby to teethe at 10 weeks, but it would be very early and unusual.
Reply:yes my youngest got his first tooth at 10 weeks i thought he was ill!!! and i had 2 previous children. In that week my poor baby got 3 teeth at just 10 weeks some babies are born with teeth if in doubt seek medical help but your baby should be fine to clarify i took him to see our doctor he confirmed it was a tooth and others on the way
Reply:Yep, it's probably starting. My son got his first two teeth at one time when he was three months and had 8 teeth by the time he was 6 months and almost all (except for 3 molars) by a year.
Reply:it can happen my baby got her 2 bottom teeth at 6/7 months and started walking at 7 months..................NO I WAS NOT PREGNANT AGAIN lol...........................every baby is different some are faster and some are slower
