Teething maybe?

Hi, my little boy is 9 nearly 10 weeks old, and i think he ma be teething but is it possible so early. His gums are red and look like there is teeth coming, he is dribbling alot and chewing his hand and dummy and he is also very mardy and hard to get to sleep. He isnt poorly as he has no temperature and i took him the doctors just to make sure so do you think he is teething?

It is possible. Babies can grow teeth this early and some I heard are sometimes born with teeth! LOL. But it is very possible but the hard thing about getting them this early is that you can't use Baby Orjal. It is harmful to their stomach. So use some teething rings, cold/frozen washcloths and patience. My son likes when I rub his gums with my finger...but make sure to wash it first.

Reply:he sure is. his first tooth may not come through for awhile then again it may, this is not that unusual. every child is different so just keep your eye on him and try rubbing the teething gel on his gums and i used to give my son a very cold teething ring to chew on and he liked that. good luck.
Reply:I have twin boys of two years old so yes this does sound like the symptoms of teething however although it is very rare in one so ypung it is not unheard of. this could also be a bad case of oral thrush which babies are prone to. best off asking you health visitor or midwife.
Reply:He's a little young but he's probably teething but the teeth might not come in for some time. My drandaughter is 19 months and only has 4 teeth, we thought she would never get any teeth. All babies are different.
