My 3month old son is teething. I have gave him Hylands teething tablets and a small dose of tylenol. I dont have any Oragel here, my husband is bringing some home when he gets off work. Ive rubbed his gums and let him chew on a cool wash cloth.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to soothe him? My daughter didnt have this much trouble teething. poor baby, i dont know what else to do to help him.
Teething 3month old?
That´s tough. My son started teething at 3 months as well and didn´t stop until he was a year old! The problem with such little babies is they can´t hold toys to chew them!
With my son, we used a small amount of clove oil rubbed on the gums to numb them. Also, you can try putting your finger in ice water for a few minutes and then let him chaw away on that. Try pushing on his gums to give him relief with counter pressure, too.
Reply:I don't have an answer for you but I know what you are going through. My three month old soon to be four seems to be teething and I thought that it was way too early for him to be doing that. I am glad that I am not alone! I hope that you get the answer you need.
Reply:my son started teething at 6 weeks, and they still havent broken through yet at 12 weeks. All i do is give him some tylenol and cuddle him as much as he'll let me after about 30 minutes or so he relaxes and stops crying. I felt so bad because he was so fussy for two days and I had no idea that he was in pain. Just give the tylenol some time and it will work eventually.
Good luck, I know what you're going through!
Reply:let him hold a carrot and he will rub his gum
Reply:Our doctor told us not to use oragell because babys are starting to have heart problems with it because parents are giving it to much. We used frozen wash clothes, icy pops you know the ones that you freeze we got the sugar free ones and he chewed on those. Hard bread seemed to work well too and teething tables. If she can do that yet.
