Ok so my baby is teething. She just cut her first two teeth through, and now the other ones are bothering her. I have tried the teething tablets, the rings, the tylenol, the oragel, everything i could think of. Does anyone have any new suggestions to relieve her teething pain???? please help. thank you! Jes
Teething troubles with my 5 month old, any sugesstions???
did you try hylands teething tablets?? or wetting a corner of a little blankie and put it in the freezer? Then your little one can hold the blankie and chew on the icy corner
Reply:Orajel night time formula helped my sons. Only the night time stuff worked.
Reply:Try a wet washcloth. Good Luck! :)
Reply:Well I went through it all with my kids and now they're past that stage but the other day my friend was over, her 8 month old has been cutting teeth and he is by far the worst I'd ever seen, (he's spoiled and cutting teeth) Anyways I had one of those little neck massagers and he loved it He held it in his mouth until the battery ran out and he completely stopped screaming. Just be sure to get one that won't come apart and choke her
Reply:well i a single mother of twins and they are still teething and this has worked for them try frozen french toast sticks it will help with the pain and swelling
Reply:the reason the baby stuff doesn't work is because it's a very low dose of the numbing medicine so that no one will ever be able to say that their baby got too much of it. however the problem with that is there isn't enough to help the pain for more than five minutes.
The reason that that night-time formula worked for the answerer above is because the strength of the numbing medicine is higher in that kind.
If you use an regular oral pain reliever like Anbesol or Ora-base just once or twice a day, the baby will get enough pain relief and as long as you don't put it on every half hour or something silly like that, there's no danger of the baby getting too much.
I told my doctor i was going to use an adult strength pain reliever and he told me about the just using it twice a day.
I would use it before bed for my daughter so that she could get some uninterrupted sleep and also before her longest nap of the day. He also suggested not using it longer than a week.
If you think about it, it adds up to the same amount you would give the baby normally because when the baby stuff doesn't work for more than ten minutes it gets re-applied so much that the dosage is pretty darn close to adult strength.
For really bad days where my daughter wouldn't eat anything I would give her baby Tylenol or baby motrin when she was older than 6 mos
Reply:put a few of those water filled teething toys in the fridge or freezer and keep giving her those (don't let it completely freeze though)...it's nice and cool, feels great and numbs the gums a little...and babies love to chew on things anyway...it'll keep her busy...she may forget about the pain a little too.
Reply:hmm at this age it is possible to have problems in teeth...hmm dont give her much sweets as it is hamful for our teeth..%26amp; tell her to wash her teeth during night also
Reply:I know this sounds sick, but I let my son bite me. He was unconfortable alone so I soothed him by holding him and letting him nibble on my arm( clean of courseZ)...It worked for me, as myI had the same problem...Best of luck!!!
Reply:My son is 4 months and is teething as well he cut his first 2 teeth down the bottom i have the same problem i found that if he is to sooky panadol helps alot but also you can give teething rusks as well they help the teeth cut through or you can buy teething dummys they are alot better then the rings but if you find anything else that helps please let me know.
Reply:This may seem strange but in my family we rub green onion on the gums. Trust me it works! I hope this helps her relieve the pain...
