Can Teething Cause my 14 month old to have Gas?

My 14 month old son finally began teething at 13 months old. He has two teeth already and two more are almost out. However, I noticed that ever since he started teething he has been having LOTS of gas and it is obviously bothering him because he is always pushing and grunting and WILL not go to sleep well for naps, etc. Like I said, he is over 1 yr. old, so I don't think there is any chance it could be colic. I have not introduced any new foods into his diet recently either. I have tried all of the remedies that I can think of...grip water, mylicon, oval, etc....nothing works. So, do you think it is from teething? Has anyone else had an older child who was teething and had this problem? Any advice would be much appreciated!! :)

Can Teething Cause my 14 month old to have Gas?
Teething can be a bugger for a lot of kids. My son is the worlds worst teether and he did get gassy with a few teeth, particularly the first few. He was a bit constipated too at the time.

Things I found that helped (gripe water/oval and teething gels did not):

1. A little bit of juice (prune or even fruit juice) to get things moving...

2. This handy toothbrush, he uses it for teething and it really helps http://www.amazon.com/Babys-First-Toothb... it really massages the gums, and gets some brushing in too!

3. Hylands teething gel or Teething tablets, for some kids they do work well.

4. Nuby makes some great freezable teethers, they worked well.
Reply:don't worry it's happen. my Friend son have same problem when he is between 1 to 3 years old. now he is almost four years old and no any more problem.now he eat normal food so that's. i think you give your son formula. its happen with milk. when he grow up it gone automatically.believe me because i saw him and he took so many medicines still its same thing but when grow up its gone.
